Fire Victim Credits Pet Pit Bull For Saving Life
Fire forced people out of a three-story building that has an apartment on each level early Monday morning on the North Side.
Pittsburgh firefighters at the scene said the fire started on the second floor around 6:30 a.m. and spread to the third floor of the brick home on Sherman Avenue in the Mexican War Streets.
One victim who lived on the second floor told Channel 4 Action News reporter Janelle Hall he was in a deep sleep when his 7-month-old pit bull, Diamond, started to go crazy, waking him up and warning him about the fire inside the building....
