This park contains: Drinking water, Poop pickup
bags, Trash cans, Benches, chairs, or picnic tables This park is: Fully fenced Park description: This park is wonderful
for dogs! The area is about 2-3 acres fenced in for dogs
to socialize. Two benches for owners to sit, small shaded
area also. Animals must be fixed, have updated vaccinations,
and be dog-friendly and not aggressive. Directions: From PGH - Take Parkway East
to Forest Hills Exit 8A- Follow Route 30 and turn Right
at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 48. Follow 48
for about 1-2 miles. Turn left into park entrance for White
Oak Park. Follow windy road and turn Right into White Oak
Park. Comments: This place is great for dogs
to play, socialize, and learn to intereact with other dogs.
There are many different breeds, puppies to seniors, Very
large dogs (130lbs) to Very small dogs (5lbs) on any given
day. I have NEVER seen an aggressive dog yet so if your
dog is aggressive I would recommend socializing your dog
elsewhere until he is ready for this dog park. Park has
anywhere from 10 - 30 dogs during peak hours (evenings
and weekends). Owners are also friendly and helpful if
you have any issues. This was a great way to teach my puppy
how to interact with other dogs and also use some energy.
