Did you know that like children puppies grow up in stages and need different types of training along the way? Under 5 weeks of age the most important thing to a pup is its mom. From 6 to 9 weeks of age the puppy's litter mates are critical playmates that help the puppy to learn about proper play behavior, bite inhibition, and how to fit in. Puppies over 9 weeks of age are old enough to be adopted into their new forever homes but still need lots of play and puppy interaction.
Our PUPPY CLASS - for 9 to 15 week old puppies is the perfect place to help your puppy learn proper puppy etiquette. The focus is on getting your puppy off on the right paw. Have FUN while socializing with other pups and people. Puppies learn to play well with each other, to accept handling of their bodies, ears, faces and feet. Your puppy will also learn to walk on a loose leash, sit, and lie down on cue. Instructors will explain how to deal with common puppy behaviors.
Classes start this Sunday, October 23rd at 11 AM at the Western PA Humane Society's GET SMART! Training Center. Visit our website to get your puppy registered today:
