If you use the calendar to view or post events, you may have noticed some issues lately. This is due to the fact that the software we've been using is no longer supported. The developer has disappeared and the software can no longer be updated. I'm working on getting a new calendar system up and running, and hope to have it "live" within the next month. This one will be fully integrated with the rest of the site and not an add-on "hack" like the current calendar.
In the meantime, please be patient. The old calendar still works but is a little buggy. Unfortunately notifications of new and updated events are not being sent. This issue probably won't be resolved until the new system is in place.
If you're having problems seeing the full calendar (especially IE8 users):
Try viewing the calendar here: http://www.pghdogs.com/events/index.php
You can either login at the main site and then click Events -> Hide Header, or just go directly to the above URL and use the Login link at the bottom of the page.
OR... try viewing the calendar in another browser, such as Firefox.
I ran a "chip in" fundraiser in January to help raise money for a new calendar system. Unfortunately the response to the fundraiser was not what I had hoped for, and we're still $65 short of our goal. Please contact me if you use the calendar to find events to attend, or to publicize your events, and would be willing to contribute just a dollar or two to support this upgrade. I want to keep PghDogs free to use and ad-free. I pay for the site hosting, domain registration, and software out of my own pocket to bring you the most complete site for dog owners in western PA, and would greatly appreciate just a few dollars to support this calendar project.
